Hi have read your comments with interest: I am a 3rd year Art student at uni and am doing my disertation on the "Battle of the Beanfield". I am interested to talk to people who were at the Beanfield for the purpose of my disertation. Having read Andy Worhtingtons books on the Beanfield and Stonehenge, I have become deeply interested in the whole situation and would appreciate it if anyone could take the time to tell me/write info on travelling experiences. Thanks FI

Hi there,
Just to let you know that I recently edited the first full-length book about the Beanfield, which was published by Enabler Publications this June. For further info about 'The Battle of the Beanfield' and my previous book, 'Stonehenge: Celebration and Subversion', a counter-cultural history of Stonehenge, visit: www.andyworthington.co.uk
All the best,

I was in the 4th vehicle in the convoy, it had been purchased a few days before by a man from the peace convoy by the name of Nigel. It was a yellow truck which had been previously used for delivering eggs. I was arrested almost immediatly and thrown into a police van which already held a mixed race naked young man who was half Glaswegian and half Jamacian, he spoke half the time in broad Glaswegian, the other half in a broad patios. No-one could understand a word he said either way, we kind of got the drift as his gesticulations and accurate spitting at the uniformed creatures that held us hostage seemed to despatch what may have taken hours of polite negotiations from him to despatch. I was charged with assault on two police officers, 1 of whom nedee time off work to recover from his injuries. I was found guilty. I am female, 4 foot 11 iches high, I struck no-one. The police officers that I encountered that day were heavy padded, were showing no numbers/ID and other than 1 oficer handcuffing me at the side of the beanfield, which I allowed him to do without strugle, I had no physical contacy whatsoever with any police officer. Please feel welcome to contact me at any time on above email
